Who Are We ?
We are a non-profit organization that uses public forums, civil discourse, and research to deepen our personal, expert, and public understanding of the root causes of structural racism to create a platform for developing and assisting in the implementation of practical policy reforms that lead to a more just governance at the federal, state, and local levels.
Visions & Values
The members of Just Be Real envision an America in which the vestiges of structural racism have been eradicated within one generation.
Core Values:
- Education – Sustainable change is only achievable through education. Listening to perspectives from across the nation ensures that action occurs at the roots, not the surface.
- Evaluation – An investigative approach contributes to a strong analysis of the problems and proposed solutions.
- Engagement – We prioritize civil and challenging engagement with people, ideologies, and policy, always geared toward understanding.
- Equality – We strive for equality by valuing all perspectives and proposals while prioritizing actionable change.
